This was our third stay at Diamond Head Inn, and unfortunately it may be our last. We had a great experience last few years, but this year's stay was filled with problems. Our room (#110) had a door that would not properly close or lock. Several times we returned to find the door wide open because it hadn't latched correctly. Maintenance told us we needed to lift the door in order for it to shut and said they would put in a work order, but no one ever came to fix it. The best part of this property is definitely the location. You can walk straight from your room to the beach without even needing shoes, which is hard to beat. A close second is the customer service, the woman at the front desk was kind and accommodating. My wife and I arrived a bit before the official check-in time, and she was able to get us into our room early, which we really appreciated. The room itself was decent but had a few issues. Recently completed an 8 night stay at DHI and we weren’t disappointed. The rooms have recently been renovated and include basic kitchen amenities. There are many places to eat within walking distance too and your room is literally a few steps from the beach. The beach walk is spectacular. Pets are warmly welcomed which is a big plus for us and the prices are very affordable and reasonable for what you get especially so close to the water! Love this spot! Would definitely stay here again! Room is clean and nice and spacious! There's a fully stocked kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom! Can't beat the location for this price! Although there is no deadbolt on the door and I can not lock it. It seems very safe here and not sketchy.

all round great experience def recommend. the outside area was super clean, rooms were right next to the beach. Thank you so much to Jim, you run this place to its excellency. from the start i felt welcomed by Isabella while checking in to checking out with Marwa both are the loveliest human beings ever. Patty is amazing she helped me get back into my room and was so helpful in all aspects. Thank you to the cleaning staff, the room was supper tidy. great experience overall would return!
