I cannot recommend this place enough. I thought I was coming to a dingy ratty smelly place but no, the complete opposite. I love the cleanliness, organization, the staff, service, all of it. The garden and greenery are exotic and so pretty. The rooms are clean and spacious, no bugs or dirt in sight. Some rooms have microwaves and mini fridge. A true 2 star hotel. Old, run down, smelly rooms. The campus itself is very pretty (minus the building architecture). The bathrooms were very tiny and had a "walk-in shower" with a door that splashed water all over the floor plus half of your body was always cold. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Would we stay here again, no. It reminded me of an 80s apparent complex. Won't be staying their again. Supposedly, the complex is slated to demolishing and a new hotel will be built.
I enjoyed my stay here so much that I was sad when I had to leave! We landed way later than we were supposed to and we still were able to, effortlessly, check in! Everything was great! I loved bed and all the amenities! They didn't have small body wash, shampoo, etc like the other hotels I've been in. They were regular sized like 18oz? I believe. I loved that! Beautiful property with lush garden like atmosphere, bridges, and other interesting focal points. Rooms were not family friendly and could use some updating. Holes in towels, etc. Staff was not particularly helpful or accommodating.
Charming boutique hotel. It was nice to get the complimentary bottle of wine with our stay. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful. Free parking was a nice benefit. We would return on our next trip to Palo Alto.
