Honest review, the property is spectacular. A converted is shoe factory and it's fantastic. The location is one of the best that I've been in my travels. Great restaurants within walking distance and awesome views. The negative: it is not quiet and you can't get the rooms dark. No curtains over the window blinds. The train really didn't bother me, it was the drunk guy in the room next to me yelling from 9:15-10:15 every night. There are 2 restaurants attached, the pizza restaurant is really good. There are not enough words to describe how well the CTH team knocked our wedding weekend OUT OF THE PARK!!! For starters, the hotel manager Lindsay Land truly is one of the best people we’ve met throughout our 2 years of planning. She was responsive, helpful, thoughtful and reassuring with all details leading up to the big day. We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago for one night to break up a road trip. We had our dog with us and rather than have her in the car for 10+ hours we decided to make a last minute decision to stop halfway at a hotel. The Craddock came up as an option that allowed pets so I just booked it and expected a standard hotel stay. This is NOT the place to stay if you are a light sleeper. PROS: Unique shoe-themed property nodding to its past as the 5th largest shoe company in the world. Several (not all) front desk staff were polite and helpful. Large, spacious room and huge bathroom with an exceptionally large shower. At check-in, staff gives you a small vial of essential oil for the in-room diffuser, which also works as a background noise machine with bird song, babbling brook, ocean waves, and other nature sounds. If you’re looking to use the event space for a wedding or other event I would recommend! The event manager is very organized, super friendly, and helpful. We did not book the venue unfortunately, due to other reasons not related to the venue. It is a pretty venue and feels very clean. The hotel itself has many friendly employees, and is very well maintained.
