My stay at the Craddock Terry Hotel in Lynchburg was absolutely wonderful! I especially loved the hotel's unique women's shoe theme, and I was pleasantly impressed by the spacious, beautifully appointed room, which provided exceptional comfort and made my stay feel both relaxing and luxurious. Fantastic boutique hotel with unique rooms crafted in a former shoe factory. Exceedingly clean, staff is very welcoming. Two restaurants on site. Had a lovely dinner and drinks at shoemakers. My steak was well seasoned and actually cooked as ordered. The hotel has a great location but it is near the railroad tracks though only 1 train came through in the morning. They have ear plugs if you need them. This is our second stay and our favorite in lynchburg.
I have stayed here for the past 6 years in the summer. I really like this hotel. The staff is always responsive. The rooms are clean and the location is great as you can walk to many restaurants as well as the beautiful walking path by the river. There is a train nearby, but they provide noise cancelling machines in the room if that is a bother. A few things the hotel could improve on. Our suite was beautiful, especially the bathroom with a shower and huge bathtub. We liked the exposed brick industrial feel. The front desk staff was especially welcoming. I would love to go back sometime. However, I just couldn't get over the train whistle throughout the night. They told me that the train was audible at check in and offered me ear plugs and a white noise machine. What an absolute treat! Getting there was a challenge because of road construction but it was so worth it! Front desk staff was friendly. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. Bathrobes and bathroom amenities were top-notch. Loved, LOVED the tile shower. The shoe box breakfast delivery was adorable. I could go on and on.
