The room was very spacious. Since the climate is hot and humid, I was worried about insects, but I didn’t see a single one. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, which made my stay very comfortable. The staff were friendly and kind, and some of them even spoke Japanese, which was a nice surprise. I’m backpacking on a budget backpacker,I was worried about food costs, but I was able to buy frozen meals from a nearby supermarket and use the microwave in the lobby, which helped a lot. We stayed at this Hotel twice. We had a back to back cruise and needed 1 night in between so we came back here(2 nights before the 1st cruise) Francisca checked us in both times. She is very friendly, warm and welcoming. Medi was there one evening and he was definitely a life saver and very helpful and friendly. The Hotel itself has been obviously updated just like all the rest in this area. The rooms are well kept. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Both rooms had functioning ACs. A no bells and whistle place. .If you are looking for a cheaper place to sleep before going on a cruise this is the place. . The room was clean the bed was very comfortable. After all day traveling I slept 10 hrs and it was very quiet. Starbucks is down the street at Publix if you need your morning coffee. A nice refreshing walk about 10 mins away.

Great location for the free shuttle around Miami. When I arrived my room had a beetle on the table. I spoke with reception, who didn’t seem bothered. The English spoken was incomprehensible. If you are going to work in Hospitality, learn English.

Do not book! Feels and smells damp, moldy, mildew. The hotel is not healthy place to be at all. The main foyer is over sprayed with the air freshener to conceal dampness and mold. The a/c remote comes with the instruction not to press any buttons, lol. Some electrical outlets have broken covers and could be dangerous. Furniture is outdated and worn out.
