Based on reviews I was expecting worse. Needed a room for night before cruise, south beach and closer to terminal were $$$ for our dates. This one fit the bill cost wise. Location was great! We were able to check in at 5am when our flight landed for an extra $50. Watched the sun rise over the ocean from our window, took a long nap in the comfortable room then checked out the area. We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. It’s very simple and nothing special, and I think the price is a bit high, especially during the holiday season. However, the location is convenient — the beach is very close — and even with the higher price, it was the best option in terms of value. The rooms were clean. The pool was quite dirty, and we didn’t see anyone using it. I would say it’s more of a 2-star hotel, but the proximity to the beach is a big plus. The room was very spacious. Since the climate is hot and humid, I was worried about insects, but I didn’t see a single one. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, which made my stay very comfortable. The staff were friendly and kind, and some of them even spoke Japanese, which was a nice surprise. I’m backpacking on a budget backpacker,I was worried about food costs, but I was able to buy frozen meals from a nearby supermarket and use the microwave in the lobby, which helped a lot. Room was clean. Hotel was noisy. The lobby had an overwhelming perfumed smell to it. Location is great, lots of stuff nearby to do. Was a last-minute booking due to a flight cancelation so grateful they had a room for me, but wouldn't be my first choice in Miami Beach usually. Elevator was busted on the day that I departed, which was a bit annoying.

This is a terrific hotel. The customer service is impeccable. The rooms are clean and cozy as it is very close to the North Miami Beach, walking distance. You will love this hotel.
