It’s a fine hotel, but a couple of things stood out to us in our one night stay in the summer. 1) the floors were dirty. I have never seen my feet more dark black. It is clear that they vacuum, but they need to mop. 2) the shower curtain is not water resistant. So don’t leave anything on the shower floor. 3) they will have you pay an amenity fee AFTER booking your stay. 4) I have never gotten more texts from a hotel in my life. We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Dega over 4th of July weekend! We booked a stay to get our skittish dog away from the fireworks, but were so pleased with how much there is to do within walking distance. Doran Beach is a 20 minute walk on a nice safe trail, and there is a wine bar and two delicious seafood restaurants just a 5 minute walk in the opposite direction. We had a great stay at Hotel DeGa and would absolutely book here again. The property was very clean, updated, and had a functional design that made everything feel comfortable and easy. The location was perfect for us since it was just minutes from Doran Regional Park, making it super convenient for spending time at the beach. We stayed at Hotel Dega for one night. We stayed in a clean big room that featured vaulted ceilings, two big comfy queen size beds and a view that overlooked the bay. We had our own private balcony that we ate our dinner on while enjoying the view. The grounds were quiet at night which allowed for a peaceful night's sleep. My only criticism I had was the late check-in time. We had to find something to do upon arriving early. We arrived in Bodega Bay at 2 after a 2 hour drive but had to wait until 4 to check-in. The room was so big with a picture perfect view of the bay and a balcony you could just soak in the beauty and breathe in the salt air. Service was very attentive ask and ye shall receive. I’ve been to Bodega bay a lot and stayed in many hotels, the views from hotel Dega are so close that I could watch herons and egrets. Close to Lucas wharf we found ourselves walking over to enjoy a meal. Great times
