Customer service was great very friendly. Room was spacious, clean and beds was comfortable. I will definately stay here again. A few notes to consider. The heater was very loud going off and on. We book 3rd. Policy so we were charged $10 a nite. If you book directly thru the hotel we were told there's no parking fee but I would verify that to be sure. Also if your a coffee fanatic like me they have a small coffee maker and their own coffee pouches so leave your kerig pods at home and your own coffee grounds. U can bring yo... read more

This hotel was fantastic! The quality and cleanliness of the room were excellent, especially for the price point. Michelle at the reception was the key to our having a great stay and Monterrey. Giving us great recommendations and being very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great location if you're visiting Monterey. Came here for a few days back in August and it was nice to have a place to stay so close to the ocean for a good price. The rooms were clean, and the bathrooms never seem to have run out of hot water. However, one thing to keep in mind (this is perfectly understandable given the density of the city here) is that it could very easily be an issue on the weekends if you come into separate cars and want to split a room (I came from Fresno, and my family came up the coast from L.A). Not sure why this place has so many displeased reviews, it was quite nice! Everyone I talked to at the front desk was great, checking in and out was a breeze, complimentary coffee and tea (including decaf!), and the room was small but clean and cozy with a big bathroom. Only downside was that it was a bit noisy, with the occasional plane flying overhead and one night with a rock cover band playing nearby that we could hear till about 9:30pm. This is a simple motel without extra amenities, but located very close to the airport if you're flying in or out and very close to Highway 1 for reaching any tourist attraction in the vicinity. It's in the flight path, but since there are few large planes flying in or out, and none past midnight, it's not a problem. There's not much in walking distance except a Denny's restaurant.
