Very clean room, awesome and helpful desk personal, restaurant on site just off the lobby, coffee 24/7, animal friendly if you have pets. 3rd floor room had an ocean view, sliding glass door, and large glass windows, balcony with a table, and 2 chairs to relax on and watch the waves, kites, people, and children play. Had a wonderful stay on the first floor dunes view room. Still great to watch the sunset. But hold on to your skin because that water pressure is AMAZING! Had a nice ability to cook while staying which helped keep costs low. Would 100000000 times over recommend this to friend, family, and you.
The only reason for the 4 vs. 5 star is cost. We stayed at this location last weekend and while Spring, the prime season doesn't start until this weekend (Memorial Day) yet the cost was significantly higher than our visit in February. The location of the hotel is great. A nice stroll to the aquarium and the circle. My daughter's birth family lives in the general area so we stay either at this Best Western or the one in Long Beach. We originally had reserved a room at a hotel down the way but when we arrived just before midnight our keycards didn’t work for our hotel room and we weren’t able to get in contact with anyone so we needed to find other accommodations. Thank god Best Western has an attendant 24/7 and they were able to take care of us. The only thing we liked about this place was how close you are to the beach. We also lucked out and got a room on the top floor. We stayed here one night on our way back home from vacation. The place is dirty. Don’t look in the corners. There’s no AC so if you like a hot room this place is for you. They supply a fan that barely works. Wouldn’t recommend coming here. Spend the extra money to stay someplace else or just head home.
