Unfortunately, my stay at the Best Western Chicago Grant Park Hotel was very disappointing. The cleanliness of the hotel and room was far below what I expected. The staff was also not welcoming. They were rude and did not greet us or make us feel like valued guests. Good customer service should start with a simple hello and a friendly attitude, but that was missing during our stay. Holy hell, what a terrible place. This might be the worst hotel experience I have ever had. First, they messed up our booking so we didn't get the rooms we were guaranteed by staff. The excuse was "day shift didn't pay attention", but what does that have to do with anything? Do you know how reservations work? They should've never been able to give them away! Room 326 on the 4th floor, they mistakenly gave another group of people keys to our room before we got there so we had to sort that out. Toilet wouldn't flush at random times. Shower was very hard to turn on and off (we believe the handle was loose). Ceiling had several chips in paint and discoloration, one of the walls had a weird dirty spot. + Overall fine room, comfy bed, and quiet. - a few small roaches in the bathroom at night. - Displayed price is very misleading. $110 weekday room rate ended up at $270 after fees, tax, and parking. Valet parking is actually the best option. Self park nearby is $35/nightly with NO in-out privilege.

Let’s talk about this Best Western… or should I say Worst Western? Yikes. 1. Only one working elevator. It can barely fit six adults, and if you have a stroller, good luck. The hallways and doorways are also just narrow enough to make navigating with kids frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel for families. 2. It took three separate requests to get a bathtub stopper.
