My family and I stayed here during a stopover in Amarillo. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. From a helpful and friendly front desk and doorman to excellent food and drinks. The 100 year old building is unassuming from the exterior, but the interior is high end in a way that doesn't feel out ouf place. Amazing location! The hotel is beautiful and surprisingly convenient. Lots of great restaurant choices nearby and the staff is super helpful ands friendly. Our room was very nice and laid out well. My only complaint is they use flat sheets instead of fitted ones so the sheets come off and get all wrinkled beneath you. Everything else was great.

Stayed 5/29-5/31 for a wedding. Beautiful Hotel, staff is extremely friendly. Bellhop was fantastic and insisted he helped us to the room. Ambiance is great, and I was impressed with the cleanliness overall. I'm leaving one star because whoever cleaned our room after the first night threw out my wife's retainer. It was sitting on a tissue on the sink. To be clear, it was not "wrapped" in a tissue, it was sitting on top of it. So today we are out $225 for a replacement retainer. I really enjoyed my time at this property. The rooms were amazing and the food was delicious. This is a boutique hotel. I really enjoyed sitting on the second floor patio or watching the Fourth of July fireworks. It was my first time in the lovely city of Amarillo Texas.

The Barfield is a great hotel with gorgeous decor and consistent upmarket western theme throughout. The rooms are spacious, well laid out, very tastefully decorated and clean. They are also well equipped with a smart tv and espresso coffee machine. The bed is very comfortable too. The food is also a high standard.
